Quietly, the POHOA Board has posted yet another Board Meeting onto the Calendar for Tuesday, April 9 at 630pm. This time, however, instead of the coffee shop, it is being held at the Senior Center.

The agenda for this meeting remains a mystery. The only clue came in the response to the Document Request, where it is revealed that newly elected Director, Jennifer Hutchinson, is going to sign the Conflict of Interest Policy.

Since there is no written contract, and there is absolutely no record of the POHOA Board actually “hiring” her, we are now in uncharted territory. At least $6000 has been disbursed to Ms. Hutchinson without any record whatsoever in the Meeting Minutes, or any Action Without A Meeting. There is absolute no such thing as an “administrative hiring”, which is what Treasurer Clay Jones announced at the 12/14/22 Annual Homeowner’s Meeting. And, Secretary Walker Flanary conveniently left even that announcement conspicuously absent from that meeting’s minutes.
It is yet to be seen how Ms. Hutchinson explains how she can be on the Board and continue to take money without any written contract, or even any publicly stated boundaries, duties, or responsibilities for getting all this money – on a monthly basis, indefinitely. Or why we need a CPA to do a job that can be hired out for a fraction of the cost on an hourly basis.
Something’s got to give – this is not sustainable, let alone justifiable.
Meanwhile, we keep refreshing the website to see if an actual agenda is posted.
