The morning after the Annual Meeting on November 13, 2018, I wrote to Buck and Keith (President/VP from 2018 Board) regarding my contemporaneous observations about things said at the meeting that I did not believe were accurate. It eventually led to pressing for the HOA Attorney to review Article IX Section 7 (3 times) in order to establish that, in fact, owners could overrule the board on ACC-related matters.

Open in new tab I believe this is now relevant because we have just received the proposed minutes from the 2018 meeting for approval this year. I believe that several of the issues raised in my Addendum turned out to be relevant in 2019, while a few have yet to be addressed.
In particular, I do believe that it was clear that while we had Buck Hammond declare on 8/27/19 that the Board was compliant with all rules, was as democratic and transparent as possible, and should be congratulated for having opened up board meetings, a review of this document shows that the Board had only first considered these issues in November of 2018, and had to overcome objections to changes by several of the existing board members. Some of these objections were central to the Board Conflict in June of 2019.
I believe that this document should be part of the records of the HOA specifically because it demonstrates that we had knowledge of these violations of statute, and after this time, can no longer claim ignorance as an excuse for future non-compliance.
