Hughes Stadium Zoning Meeting at City of Fort Collins
The City of Fort Collins is once again hosting a community meeting regarding a developer proposal to rezone the property that formerly was Hughes Stadium and it's surrounding parking lots. This space is similar to the Reservoir Ridge Open Space which we enjoy just across Overland Trail from Poudre Overlook.
The City Council has already rejected the proposal due to community input, so it's important to keep up the pressure to keep this space open. Once it's gone, it ain't ever coming back. We need to preserve our open space while we can, before the aggressive development swallows up everything.

"The Planning and Zoning Board listened to the community and did not approve LMN zoning for the Hughes property. The majority of the community said they want the property to remain as open space! P&Z rejected the City's zoning plan and instead recommended RF for the entire site. Despite having their plan rejected, Cameron Gloss will again present to Council a zoning proposal which would allow a high density housing development on this open area. Make your voices heard and let City Council know how you feel. This is not a done deal! Please show your support by attending the next City Council meeting. "
