LIES! Irve Denenberg’s Case Against This Blog

Today, while talking with a neighbor about the degrading retaining walls as the juncture path between Poudre Overlook and Stagecoach Subdivisions, I was approached by Irve Denenberg. He was critical of any effort to maintain our Stormwater Drainage Facilities – of which that connector is a significant part.

While he would not agree with me to quote him on his point of view, he expressed the opinion that because people in POHOA have other priorities, the problem will be dealt with when the County decides it is a problem at some far-off distant point in the future. He did not think we should spend our budget, of which we are currently accumulating a surplus (over $15k in 2023 along), to maintain the areas. The implication is that it is someone else’s problem way off in the future.

I asked him if I could quote him on that POV, and he said he would not like to be quoted, so I am not writing his words. He then quipped that this entire website is all lies.

I asked him to give me a single example, and he said that I had written to the Larimer County Sheriffs in 2019 claiming he was reading my emails from the open space behind our home. As an eye doctor, I’m sure he’s aware of the limits of human vision.

But, this is what was actually written:

Now, the issue arose because about a week earlier, on Fathers Day, I found Irve Denenberg to be standing at our fence line with his phone in hand pointed into our dining room. The measured distance is just under 29 feet from point to point. It appeared he was taking pictures, and we had family over with underaged children.

I immediately confronted Irve about taking pictures of us in our home, and he was combative and scurried away. I did, in fact, call the police who then contacted Irve. The Larimer County Deputy who investigated said that he obtained a promise that Irve would not go behind our home by himself, and less than a week later, I received the email above, sent from his Android phone.

At the time of his email, I had observed him, once again, by himself, pointing his phone towards the window where I was working on my computer. I stand behind my statement that he MAY have been using the zoom technology within every cell phone to attempt to read what is on my computer screen. How would you like to be working on your computer, and see his REFLECTION in the screen, with his cell phone in hand? What else is the explanation for that?

Before posting this, I took my own phone and used the zoom. If you take a zoomed photo, you can make out small details – and I’m not here to debate what is or is not readable. This is how bullies treat people that intend to disturb – it’s about the triggering. Irve knows he is doing something that will upset me, and he continues to do it intentionally – less than a week from a warning by a Larimer County Sheriffs Deputy.

The point isn’t eyesight tests, which is an attempt to gaslight me. The point is, the appearance of taking photos of anyone’s backyard, or into their homes, from the open space behind some homes in POHOA is not ethical. If you are going to walk your dog, go for a walk, or ride your bike behind our homes, stopping to take photos from behind the homes can make people feel uncomfortable.

I asked Irve today if he had ANY other example of the “lies” that are on this website. This was the only one, and by that point his wife had come out and started pointing at me demanding that I leave the public right of way. It’s funny how this family finds offense at anyone else being near their home (a public right of way), but feels entitlement to go BEHIND other people’s homes with technology in hand that makes others uncomfortable.

Irve is welcome to put in writing any other examples of what he refers to as lies, and I am happy to edit or remove any factually incorrect information on this website. On this issue, however, there’s a truly relevant point: This email has never previously been posted on this website.

In other words, when asked what ON THIS WEBSITE is a lie, Irve had to refer to a private email sent to the Larimer County Sheriffs, which was copied to the POHOA Board at the time. This means that the POHOA Board leaked this email to Irve, which is a conflict with a Director’s Duty of Confidentiality. It means that when he, and others repeat “it’s all lies” about this blog, they are expressing an opinion that is not based upon any facts. They are simply upset that there is transparency for what goes on beneath the surface in this community and cannot defend their own words or actions with facts.
