In a recent response to a request, instead of getting an email, the POHOA Board spent a few bucks to deliver a letter via USPS Priority Mail (even though it says (USPS First Class Mail). At the bottom of their response advising that if we wished to continue communicating, we have to send a letter via USPS Mail for further questions.

This letter was sent April 29, 2024, and the Board has apparently decided that it is no longer sending email responses or even ACCEPTING emails from POHOA Homeowners.
After asking for 2 weeks why this is now the new practice and apparent policy, there’s been no response. Even after sending a letter, as they’ve requested, to get such a response.
This is not entirely surprising, as President Lora Ballweber proposed on 6/15/22 at a Board Meeting that we get rid of the email address and all email entirely. Apparently, even with Director Hutchinson rejoining the Board, there is no dissent about this regression to the 1980s. Perhaps we may begin using teletype going forward, as it is mentioned in our governing documents – or we are going fully back to the 1800s so that we have no electronic communications at all in the 21st Century.
New requests regarding the damaged fence along the South Side went out today, which appear to be going further into disrepair a full month after the windstorm that caused the initial damage. We will see if something that borders on a Health and Safety issue might elicit a response by email.
