Anyone else having trouble emailing invoices from QuickBooks lately?

Is anyone else running into that annoying glitch where QuickBooks just refuses to send out invoices? Mine started acting up last week right in the middle of billing cycle. Out of nowhere, it either throws an unexpected error code or just sits in the queue forever without actually hitting the client's inbox.
I spent a good hour digging through forums and trying different things (rechecking the SMTP settings and running updates didn't immediately fix it).
