Making your first 1,000,000 gil in Final Fantasy XIV is a great milestone, especially when you're still learning the game. At the beginning, it can feel difficult to build up your balance while buying equipment, teleporting between locations, and unlocking new content. However, reaching your first million does not require complicated strategies or spending hours repeating the same activity. A consistent routine and a little patience can make a noticeable difference.

One of the easiest places to start is with your daily Duty Roulettes. They provide direct gil rewards alongside experience and other useful items. Completing roulettes regularly allows you to earn currency while progressing through normal content. Main Scenario Quests also provide gil, so avoid spending unnecessarily on equipment when quest rewards and dungeon drops can keep your character properly geared.

Your inventory can also become an unexpected source of income. Instead of selling every unwanted item to an NPC, check whether it has value on the Market Board. Crafting materials, minions, glamour equipment, and other collectible items may be worth more to other players. Prices depend on your World and current demand, so check recent sales before deciding what to list.

Retainer Ventures are another useful option once you unlock them. Your retainers can collect materials and other items while you focus on quests, dungeons, or gathering. Some of their returns can be sold to other players, creating an additional income stream without requiring constant attention. Make it a habit to send them on ventures whenever you have enough venture tokens.

Gathering is worth considering if you enjoy a more relaxed playstyle. Miner and Botanist allow you to collect resources that crafters regularly need. Before gathering large quantities of an item, check its Market Board price and recent sales. Some materials sell consistently, while others may have limited demand. Choosing useful resources is more important than collecting everything you find.

Another important part of reaching your first million is controlling your spending. Avoid purchasing every new piece of gear from the Market Board, especially when your current equipment is still suitable for your level. Use free teleportation options when available, collect quest rewards, and think twice before buying expensive glamour items or unnecessary materials. Saving gil is just as valuable as earning it.

If you want more ideas for reaching this milestone, Namesframe.com is another resource you can explore while learning about FFXIV gil-making approaches. The important thing is to choose activities that fit your character's progress instead of following a farming method that requires equipment, jobs, or content you have not unlocked yet.

Your first 1,000,000 gil will come from combining several small habits rather than depending on one lucky reward. Complete your daily activities, use your retainers, sell items that other players need, and avoid unnecessary purchases. Keep track of your earnings and expenses, and your balance will gradually grow. Once you reach that first million, you will have a much better understanding of how to manage your gil for future goals.
