Need a recommendation for Musaffah – my Q7's ZF is acting up
So I'm in a bit of a panic mode right now because my 2017 Q7 3.0 TDI has started doing this thing where it feels like the transmission is slipping between 3rd and 4th gear under light acceleration, and it's accompanied by a slight hesitation that's been getting more noticeable over the past couple of weeks. I live in Abu Dhabi and I know the Musaffah area is full of garages, but I've had some pretty mixed experiences there in the past – one time I took my wife's car for a simple brake job and they somehow managed to mess that up, so I'm really cautious about who I trust with something as complex as a ZF 8-speed transmission. Ideally, I'm looking for a shop that offers trusted automatic transmission service in Musaffah Industrial, somewhere with a solid reputation for actually diagnosing problems correctly rather than just quoting the most expensive repair straight away. The car has about 85,000 kilometers on it and I'm pretty sure the transmission fluid has never been changed, so maybe that's the root of the issue, but I'd rather have a proper diagnostic done before I start spending money on services that might not even address the real problem.
