Why the Mythic Tribute matters
The key piece is the Mythic Tribute of Armaments. It's not a casual throw-in, and it's not something you use when your build is half-finished. Once offered at the brazier, it gives the Undercity run a shot at Unique gear, with a much better chance for those chase Mythic Uniques people actually want. There's a catch, of course. It only works on Torment difficulties, it adds four levels of Monster Power, and it cuts your starting timer hard. If your damage is shaky or your movement feels slow, the tribute will punish you fast.
What changes during the run
Once you're inside, the run becomes a race against bad habits. You can't wander. You can't full-clear every side pack just because it's there. The main job is building Attunement before the clock runs out. That means hunting afflicted monsters, lighting Grand Spirit Beacons, and grabbing time bonuses when they're worth the detour. Rank 1 Attunement is the bare minimum for the tribute rewards, but most players shouldn't settle there. If you're spending a rare tribute, you want to push the meter as high as your route and build can handle.

How to make the timer work for you

It's usually not worth it. Builds with strong area damage, quick mobility, and reliable crowd control feel much better here. A group can make things smoother too, as long as everyone knows the plan. One player drifting off can waste more time than they save.
The payoff at the boss
After the Attunement push, the last step is the district boss. This is where the tribute either pays you back or laughs in your face. A clean kill can dump out Ancestral gear, useful runes like Neo, Mot, Moni, and Cem, plus the real prizes: Mythic Uniques such as Melted Heart of Selig or Doombringer. It's still Diablo, so nothing is handed over for free, but this method gives focused players one of the better paths toward serious endgame power.
